Noémi McComber (QC)

Noémi McComber received her Masters degree in visual and media arts from Chelsea College of Art (University of the Arts) in London, UK in 2002. She has since pursued a variety of artistic projects, adopting a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach that includes drawing, video, installation, performance and public intervention. Most notably, she has presented her work at the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art) in London (UK), at Kunstverein Kohlenhof in Nurembourg (Germany) and in Moscow Centre for the Arts (Russia). In Québec, her work has been shown at the Musée des Beaux-arts de Sherbrooke in 2007, at La Centrale galerie Powerhouse in 2008 and at B-312 in 2009. In 2011, she presented Nouveaux drapeaux pour vieux monuments at Dare-Dare, and, as part of the collective L’araignée, Acercate mas at the fondation Casa Tres Patios in Medellin (Colombia). She is currently preparing a solo exhibition titled La peau du bronze for la Maison des arts de Laval. She lives and works in Montreal.
